Volunteers under 18yrs will need a parent’s signature on the waiver form. Please bring your completed form to the workday.

when are workdays?
Usually on the third Saturday morning each month from 9am to 11am, rain or shine. Check the Latest News on this site for upcoming dates and locations. So that we have enough tools and supplies available, please let us know in advance that you’re planning to come.

Where We Often Meet

School trail
Go up the stairs to the right of 1900 Mountain Blvd. Staying to the right will get you onto the School Trail, which is the unpaved part of the Montclair Railroad Trail
Cortereal Corner
Go to the Cortereal Ave. cul-de-sac, then up the paved slope to the intersection with the main trail. That’s the Cortereal Corner.
The Tunnel
Cortereal Swale
The swale is the area located below the trail, and just adjacent to the Cortereal Ave. cul-de-sac
La Salle entrance
At the top of La Salle Ave. go to the left, then take the stairs and paved ramp up to the main trail where the community notice board is located
The Station
From the La Salle entrance and the notice board, head toward the Snake Bridge. The area to your right, before the bridge over-crossing, is The Station
Snake Rd. benches
Alongside the Snake Road bridge, take one of the two access trails up to the main trail. After reaching the main trail, cross the bridge over-crossing and you’ll see a small 1/4-mile marker, an historical sign and the Snake Road benches
The Arcadia
From the Snake Road benches, go toward the Melin Cut. Just past the black chain-link fence is a bench and an historical sign. That’s The Arcadia
Melin Cut
Corp Yard entrance
From the parking area at 5921 Shepherd Canyon, go up the access trail about 1/4 mile until you reach the Montclair Railroad Trail
West Meadow
From the Corp Yard entrance, go about 200 feet toward Bishop’s Court. The area on your left is the West Meadow
East Meadow
From the Corp Yard entrance, go about 0.1 miles toward Bishop’s Court. The two huge transmission towers on your left, along with a park bench, are in the East Meadow
Zinn trail access
From the East Meadow, go about 0.1 miles towards Bishop’s Court. Just before the hills resume on your left is an access trail that leads up to the Zinn Trail. If you see the 3/4-mile marker on the Montclair Railroad Trail, you’ve gone a bit too far
Escher Dr. ramp
Bishops Court entrance
Enter trail from the end of Bishops Court. Limited parking on Paso Robles, but no parking on Bishops Court

1 School trail

A walk/bike thruway under the trail, linking Cortereal Ave. areas with the Montclair Village. Enter behind the La Salle parking structure or from the cul-de-sac of Cortereal Ave.

15 Bishops Court entrance
Enter trail from the end of Bishops Court. Limited parking on Paso Robles, but no parking on Bishops Court
*There are no restrooms on the trail. Nearby restrooms may be found in Montclair Village, Montclair Park and Shepherd Canyon Park.
