While on the Montclair Railroad Trail, please stay alert and keep a watchful eye on children and pets. As in most natural spaces in the Bay Area, there are a number of potential hazards on and around the trail including:

  • Falling trees or branches
  • Mud or rock slides
  • Foxtails
  • Toxic plants and berries
  • Mosquitos and ticks
  • Poisonous mushrooms
  • Wildlife including coyotes, mountain lions and hawks
